HEY, MAMA.
As a working mom, it’s hard not to feel conflicted. If you’re killing it at work, you feel like you’re not being the mom you think you should be. If you’re focused on your kids, your work begins to feel the strain.
Somewhere in all of the daily chaos, you’re supposed to “get back your pre-baby body” in two days, but also love your body at every stage. Manage your house, but also split things equitably with your partner. Find quality child care, but also still have a savings account. Be a good sister, daughter, wife, friend.
Oh, and obviously self-care like it’s your job.
Every day you feel pulled in a million directions. And like you don’t really own your life.
Mama, I’ve been there and I can tell you that a life that’s truly centered changes all that.
I'm Dr. Whitney Casares.
At Modern Mommy Doc, we care about your kids. But we care just as much about you. Because when you take better care of yourself, you can take better care of everyone and everything else.
I’m a private-practice pediatrician, an AAP Spokesperson & Published Author, Podcast Host, Medical Review Board Advisor for Prevention Magazine, and a mom to two young girls in Portland, Oregon. My mission is to help working moms break the cycle of burnout in parenting and shift their focus to their own health and well-being so they can create a sense of balance that fosters greater joy in every area of their lives.
Between our weekly newsletters, podcast episodes, and the Modern Mamas Club, you're sure to get more centered in your life and in motherhood. Get started with our latest blog.
